For grown-ups: what this covers
Each game follows the Key Stage 1 science programme of study for England (Years 1 and 2, ages 5 to 7). Every question is read aloud, including the answer choices, so children don't need to read yet. Tap the green speaker to hear it again.
- Parts of a Plant (Year 1 Plants): identify and describe the basic structure of a flowering plant. Hard asks what each part does.
- Animal Groups (Year 1 Animals): identify fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Hard uses tricky ones like whales, bats and penguins.
- Who Eats What? (Year 1 Animals, Year 2 Living things): carnivores, herbivores and omnivores, then simple food chains on Hard.
- Animal Homes (Year 2 Living things and habitats): match animals to habitats. Hard asks how animals are suited to where they live.
- My Body and Senses (Year 1 and 2 Animals including humans): which body part goes with each sense. Hard covers body parts, basic needs and keeping healthy.
- Alive or Not? (Year 2 Living things): things that are living, dead (once alive) and never alive. Hard includes tricky ones like fire, robots and seeds.
- What Is It Made Of? (Year 1 Everyday materials, Year 2 Uses of materials): name the material, then choose materials by their properties on Hard.
- Seasons and Weather (Year 1 Seasonal changes): the four seasons, dressing for the weather, and how day length changes.
Stars are saved on this device only. There are no wrong-answer penalties: a wrong tap just fades that choice.
